Dr Errol Chan is Medical Director and Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Ascend Eye Clinic.

With more than 18 years of clinical experience and a record of 10,000+ eye procedures, Dr Chan specializes in managing many eye conditions, including cataract, glaucoma, retinal and corneal disease, myopia, uveitis and complex eye diseases. He also specializes in refractive surgery (LASIK/SMILE/transPRK and ICL) for patients desiring freedom from spectacles.

Dr Chan graduated from the National University of Singapore with Distinction and placement on the Dean’s List. He completed Ophthalmology training in Singapore, and further honed clinical expertise through Fellowships over 3 years at world-renowned international eye centres, such as McGill University in Canada, and Moorfields Eye Hospital London in the UK. He has also achieved training stints at the renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and Optegra Eye Hospital London, both in the UK.

Dr Chan’s approach to every patient is to provide the most appropriate and evidence-based treatment to achieve optimal outcomes safely. Recognising that eye conditions affect the daily lives of individuals greatly, he affords as much time as necessary to discuss all possible management options, and provides professional recommendations always in the patient’s best interests.
